Mikel Murfi talks about The Man In The Woman’s Shoes, four years on from the show’s debut as part of the 2012 Bealtaine Festival.
The Man in the Woman’s Shoes was written by and stars Sligo native Mikel Murfi.
It was originally commissioned by the Hawk’s Well Theatre in Sligo with Sligo County Council Arts Service for the Bealtaine Festival in 2012 and has toured extensively to venues around Ireland.
I’ve spoken to Mikel a few times since the play’s first appearance on the circuit and having seen him pack out theatres around the country, I had a chance to catch up with the man himself to see how the show has progressed almost four years on from its first outing.
This interview was recorded prior to a performance of The Man In The Woman’s Shoes on St. Valentine’s Day at VISUAL Carlow.
