On learning last weekend that the Eight Degrees Brewing bottles are available in Kilkenny, I’ve stocked up for the weekend that’s in it. Two for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting with ye Howling Gale Ale.

Spotted this one in the shop around the corner from the office. First time I’ve ever seen a gluten free HIV positive cookbook, how about you?

365.74 Having The Quack

The Wednesday morning walk by the river skirts the outer walls of Kilkenny Castle Park. These two were perched high on the wall, “having the quack” as I like to think. It’s mating season in the park so you should expect to see ducks in the most random of places nearby.

365.73 Shopping For Easter Eggs

Having left things late last year to get an Easter Egg (despite them being on the shelves about two months in advance), you won’t find me making the same mistake this year, with six already in the bag. At a fiver for three though you can’t really go wrong.

365.72 Blue Screen Out Of The Box

I’m convinced I must be a seriously aggressive computer user. This brand new Sony Vaio is only out of the box two hours and I’ve already blue screened it three times. Go figure.

365.71 Sunday Morning at Inchydoney

The third and final day at Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa. It’s been nothing short of terrific to get a break in, particularly one that’s been laid on for you.

It’s been a rough road since last July and this was the first time myself and herself have been able to get away together since, on our own, but with a large group at the same time.

We’re swaying fishing today as part of the bloggers and food writers weekend at Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa. Wouldn’t you know, it was the vegetarian who caught the fish.

365.68 Hello 50mb Broadband, I’ve Been Expecting You

It’s rare that I go for these phone offer upgrades but when UPC rang earlier in the week about the home phone service, upgrading my line to 50mb, throwing in a free wireless router and cutting few quid of my existing bill every month, I couldn’t say no.

365.67 Recording History

I was at Rothe House tonight for the first of a series of recordings for the Kilkenny Archaeological Society, this talk delving into the secrets of The Book of Kells. Or at least the history of it anyway. It turned out to be a very enjoyable night.
